Staff Pick No.2: Orian Manucy
Focus on: SEWE 2020
“Featured here are a few of my favorite things from last years Southeastern Wildlife Expo from 2020. This was the last event before we were shutdown for COVID. This chambray shirt from Luciano Barbera is unmatched in quality, with all materials coming from and all manufacturing taking place in Italy. Pair it perfectly with a knit tie, like this olive one from Seaward & Stearn.
The Peter Millar sateen-stretch 5-pocket pant is my go-to. This new tone, ‘dark sand,’ is a unique, versatile shade of khaki. The 5-pocket can be worn casually with a knit shirt, or dressed up with a sport coat.
The belt seen here is indeed needlepoint, but brings something different to the table than its competitors. This belt strap from local Charleston company Matthias Kaupermann (MK) contains no holes, enabling it to be coupled with a plaque style compression buckle. Have your buckle engraved with your initials to give your belt a personal touch. MK focuses on classic, simple designs (like the repp stripe) that can be worn with any outfit. Of course, we are headed into spring, but the best part about this getup is that it can really be worn year-round.”
